KIDS: Introduce your child to America’s most
participatory sport. Your child will learn the fundamentals of soccer
with children their own age in a relaxed atmosphere of fun and
laughter. He/she will leave the camp with improved skills, an increase
in self-confidence, and enthusiasm for the most popular game in the
world. Basic skills will be taught: dribbling, passing, trapping,
shooting, and defense. Children will be placed in appropriate age
groups.

ADVANCED: (Boys & Girls Ages 13-18) Prepare your child
to play competitively at the high school level and master the Four
pillars of Soccer Success:Technical, Tactical, Physical, and
Psychological. The Blue Wave Soccer Camp will help your child become a
better individual and team player. The following soccer fundamentals
will taught: (1) dribbling, (2) passing, (3)shooting, (4) heading and
(5) defending. The following advance soccer training methods will be
employed: (1) Technical/Functional Training; (2) Tactical/Position
Training-Shadow Play; (3) Phase Play; (4) In-Game Coaching; (5) Speed/Agility/Quickness
training; and (6) Mental Conditioning training.
Nicolae Piperea is the Head Coach of the DHS Boys’
Soccer team. This past year the DHS qualified for the CIAC State’s
tournament for the first time in 10 years and finished among the 8
best teams in the FCIAC. As a young man, Coach Piperea played
internationally on the Romanian Jr. National Team. A UEFA A licensed
soccer coach, he brings a wealth of coaching knowledge and fifteen
years of experience to Darien. He served as the Girls’ Head Soccer
Coach at Greenwich High School and the Greenwich Soccer Association,
and he is the owner of NFSC. Also, Nicolae is the co owner of Jack
Rabbits Gymnastics Club, along with John Schwartz. |
